Tomorrow is
Thanksgiving, the centuries-long celebration of the Autumn harvest.
The original
Thanksgiving event occurred in 1621 when Plymouth
colonists shared a feast with the Wampanoag Indians to celebrate the first
successful corn harvest. While the celebration lasts for one day in modern
times, it lasted for three days during the original festivity.
In 1863, President
Abraham Lincoln declared Thanksgiving an official holiday, and it remains a
celebrated event to this day.
What is your fondest
memory of Thanksgiving?
