You know I don't like to brag, but I was reminded by the postal newsgroup that I was the very first customer to send out a mail order catalog. It only happened 300 years ago, so I nearly forgot. I had a list of science and technical books available from the libray (that I founded too, by the way.)It was just my way of getting information into people's hands. And, a trillion or so catalogs later, it still works.
They said the Internet would make them obsolete, but some days, my satchel is pretty heavy with them.
What do you think of catalogs? Do you shop with them and why?

I do not order from catalogs. Sometimes the catalogs will prompt me to search the net and I often find the same items for less on various websites.
I always like to have a catalog. I sit in front of a computer almost all day at work. I like the luxury of being able to carry the catalog with me wherever I go without wires!
I do alot of shopping from catalogs. I am in a rural area with stores 60 or more miles away. So I'm able to do my shopping during my lunch hour without paying the high price for gas.
