We encourage many of our customers to use usps.com -- and for good reason. You can order supplies, buy stamps and even ask for a carrier to come to your house. And this Christmas season, we'll be pushing this option even more as a way to avoid a trip to the Post office.
But what do you think could be improved? As there some things on usps.com that we should start doing? What do your customers ask for? Do you use usps.com yourself?

I just had a customer who complained that she could not find where to change her address on usps.com. The option for hold mail came up, but she could not find what she wanted to do. Also another complaint was on finding the postal inspectors site to report someone tampering with their mail. I have had many complaints about the 1-800 line, complete details not taken by operators and misleading information given out.
1-800 usually gets me nowhere. I no longer use it.
Try searching for something at usps.com. You get 6,000 references! Just try finding what you want!
If I'm frustrated, I don't even want to think about our customers.
Simple seems to be our new theme, why doesn't our website represent that?
Our website should lead our customers to other websites that ship their products using our services. Want to generate revenue? Start by using our online presence.
There should be a commercial showing the website and what links to click for printing labels, paying postage and scheduling a pickup. It may seem over-simplified to those who run the website but I tried it myself and it was confusing (and I shop online a lot!).
I do use usps.com. However, I always go to the bottom of the pack to click "site map," before I begin, as it is much easier to find the different applications using just the menus, without the graphics.
inefficient... just like how we work...
instead use the K.I.S.S. method !!
I've used the site a total of once and that was to place an order. I like it but we can always make things more simple for everyone. Just hink about those that don't use a computer that often gettin on there and getting lost and frustrated and then ending up not using us because we wasted their time with confusing methods of layouts and what not. Website needs a revision ... also I'd be more than willing to help in htis matter ... since I love to design layouts and the like.
