The Fairview, KY, Post Office has a unique distinction to set it apart from the asphalt jungle -- a hitching post that gets regular use.About 2/3rds of the traffic is horse-drawn because of the nearby Mennonite community that eschews automobiles. According to Postmaster John Barkman, buggies sometimes wait two and three deep for the post to be freed up.
