It isn't a postcard from a vacation but one that was sent to my ancestor that told her that she was able to collect her Civil War husbands pension of $8 a month. He died in 1908 and I still have the postcard.
I read about Postcrossing.com here and have been a big fan ever since. I love getting postcards from all over the world and I enjoy sending postcards all over. It is good for business and a great way to learn about different places and cultrues.
I participate in Postcrossing, also, and have really enjoyed corresponding and receiving post cards from all over the world. Our local elementary school has begun exchanging cards on the site and the children love it. If we all joined we could help the USPS bottom line just a little.
I love using the post card program on USPS.COM. My daughter sent post cards from the Antarctic using this program. Love the penquins!
