Credit card issuers sent out 180 million credit card offers to U.S. consumers last month, a 34% increase from the month before and had the highest monthly total since last December and the largest increase this year, according to Mintell Communication.
It's down signficantly from a year ago, but it may be a sign of the times.

Chase and American Express sent the most credit card offers. Each issuer had its most active mail month this year, as Chase more than doubled mail volume from Sept. 2009 and American Express sent nearly 40% more offers.

I have not received any offers personally, or seen any in the mail, but it is encouraging to know. May this will help the economy.
I've been getting about 3 or 4 credit card offers each week so it looks as though BBM may be coming back, at least a bit. I think there are also other signs the economy may be taking baby steps back in the right direction. I doubt USPS will see the volume rebound to previous levels but this is a start.
I have noticed some from Capital One coming through our office...a good sign, I think.
I have truely missed seeing them in my mailbox.
