According to Target Marketing, many companies continue to use mail to promote and retain customers. Each year, they publish a list of the top 50 mailers. No doubt, you are very familiar with most of them.
Here's the top four:
World Wildlife Fund: More than 66 percent of WWF's revenue comes through mail solicitations.
Habitat for Humanity: More than 25 percent of donations come through the mail.
The March of Dimes: Mails more than 74 million pieces annually which brings in 21 percent, or $44 million dollars, of the non profit's donations.
Hearst Publications: The publisher of Cosmopolitan, Esquire, Redbook, Town and Country and 10 other magazines.
Who do you see a lot of mail from? Who is a heavy mailer to your customers?

My post office got a full coverage mailing every 2 weeks from Anderson Windows. The closest outlet was over 200 miles away by road. They were a real pain to deliver, but we saw $$$$ each time they came in.
Bed Bath And Beyond have almost a full coverage every other week or more.

Out here in the wild wild west we receive every week one or two mailing from Kohl's, Cabela's, Macy's, & J C Penny.

Marketers!
Right now. Political Ads and more Political Ads! Crazy that we have to keep track of them on a log. They are not worth our time, not to mention they are never even mailed at the first class rate which could justify logging them! But maybe that is a whole other Blog issue.
Organizations that are looking for money to support their cause, which majoraity of the proceeds go to paying employees to drum up more money from donations. When I read my mail it sends up red flags to me, everyone is looking for money for their cuase. If we all had jobs that paid us well we would not need all of these organizations. Kind of crazy making money off of misfortune.
