Carjacked

"Is PetsSmart on your route? I'm out of treats."

Who knows what this dog was thinking, but it was all about the adventure.

Las Vegas Letter Carrier Robert Brown dismounted to deliver a parcel, when a loveable yellow lab jumped into the vehicle, ready to go for a ride.

The dog wasn't too eager to leave the vehicle.

"It took half a sandwich I had in my satchel to lure him out."

This would be cute if dog bites weren't so serious for our carriers. My heart goes out to the family of the carrier who recently died because of a dog attack.

I agree, cute but with the keys still obviously in the ignition and the door open for anyone to take whatever they like, not to mention the oportunity for the veihicle to be stolen, a bad choice.
Even worse than the carrier neglecting his responsibilities is the editors of this blog to choose to post such a irresponsible act.

My question is - Why was there a half a sandwich in a carrier satchel?

Okay, so the carrier is a bonehead, but look how cute that pooch is...... :)

Your assuming that the carrier did something wrong. As the owner of a chocolate lab I can't count the number of times she has bounded past me as she see the door open and gotten in for a ride BEFORE I ever leave the drivers seat. Yes I worry about the dog bites that happen every year and my sympothy to the family of the letter carrier who passed do to a dog attack. But take it for what it is....a cute and happy moment.
