Not legal tender, but stamps for change not a bad idea

Addy, WA, OIC Jennie Moyle sent me a unique suggestion for increasing sales, one stamp at a time.

For each customer who pays with cash and has change coming back, she offers to give some of their change back in the form of stamps. For example, 90 cents in change would equate to two stamps and two pennies.

And many customers are taking her up on the idea.

What do you think about this? Comment here.

That is a GREAT idea Jenny! You are very creative in coming up with a solution that increases the revenue for the USPS! Way to go!

This is a great Idea. Just make sure need to ask the customer if they would like it that way. Otherwise they may not leave that happy. Maybe instead offer some new release of stamps for change like Maggie or some good theme.
Some stamps are so good to save it as memorobila and keep than actually use it.

We love this idea and we will share with the SSAs. Thanks so much for this creative way to increase much needed revenue and make the customers happy at the same time.

This reminds me a bit of the times when stamps were a substitute for money. I can recall my mother sending stamps in lieu of coins in an envelope when she was ordering some merchandise. Later, you often noticed, "Checks or money orders. No stamps, please."

Even my young adult children would probably say "yes" to this one. They really dislike coins received in change.

Wonderful idea but in your picture you have 2 forever stamps. They can only be sold in sheet form. So next time you might be more correct in your photos!! Would hate to think that there are people out there handing out cut up books!

I am from Asia, this idea was succesful for a time in our country, later on the people did not like it. Each and every visit stamps !!!!

They start brining exact change for purchasings.

As a window clerk whenever someone buys 1 stamp and pays with a dollar bill or higher.. I always ask them.." and with your change do you want a stamp to take home" .

Thinking outside of tradition is how our country and company became great - keep it up!
